A nice theme for Typora, inspired by Microsoft Fluent Design and Purple Theme. This theme provides outstanding visual effects for Windows 11.

Screenshots

Liquid Theme aims to provide an excellent visual effect with Typora in Windows 11. I use the elements of modern UI such as Gradient, Mica, and Rounded Rectangle. This theme support both English and Chinese, providing Light Mode, Dark Mode, Ink Mode and Ink Dark Mode.

Ink Mode & Ink Dark Mode

Many people use the 2-in-1 PC such as Microsoft Surface, to study and write, or they are just in favor of handwritten fonts, then Ink Mode provides them with a chance to write and read in handwritten fonts in Typora.

How to install

  1. Download the Liquid.zip from the Releases in Liquid repository.
  2. Open Typora setting, in Preferences, click on Appearance, then on Open Theme Folder.
  3. Unzip Liquid.zip into the Theme Folder.
  4. Restart Typora.
  5. Select the Liquid themes from the Themes menu in Typora.
  6. Open Demo.md to see local render effect.

Attention

You need to install "liquid/FZSJ-SGLDXMHJW.TTF" font into your PC for rendering Chinese characters in Ink Mode.

    Some pages error display in dark mode & a suggestion

    Overall, of course, the theme is stunning!

    I love it so much, and I found some mistake in dark mode.

    Here're my suggestions and the mistake I found below

    There are some errors in the display of the window title and the history file list.

    As what shows in the screenshot above, I noticed that the official themes use @font-face and url in CSS to define font family instead of install the suggested font globally into our PC, I think it might work in a more friendly way.

    something wrong in directory name

    There exits a wrong with directory name in file where is in https://github.com/typora/typora-theme-gallery/blob/gh-pages/_posts/fork/2021-11-28-Liquid.md. URL of pictures should be "/media/theme/liquid/preview1.png", while not "/media/theme/Liquid/preview1.png".

    Export to PDF

    this theme's headers can't be viewed from Sumatra PDF when you export to PDF, the ink font is okay, but it's the headers

    Tests

    I tried to output this theme to PNG output, the image outputs correctly. I tried to output the document with default theme, pdf opens as intended. I tried to output the document with another 3rd party theme "Purple", pdf opens as intended.

    observations

    the pdf has issues with Sumatra PDF, but can be viewed with Chrome.

    Workaround

    manually choose another theme explicitly for pdf output Preferences > Export > PDF as you can see in the screen shot above.

    Conclusion

    Pandoc is working, but I don't know if this is a bug with Sumatra PDF or this theme, because 2 themes I tested out functions normally. I am making the assumption all the other non-dark themes do work and this is a bug with Liquid and not Typora or Pandoc.
